During this time of enforced isolation, Sofia Segal and Alma Coffman have started a busy phone ministry, keeping in close touch with our elderly friends and those who live alone.
We have also decided to continue our winter studies beyond the usual six-week mark. After all, we have the time.
Sofia is relearning both the alto and soprano recorder. Alma is reading the writings of Catherine Doherty, and Miriam Story is taking a Theology of the Body course at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom, our local college. (This is now online.)
Sandra Novecosky and I are doing craft projects with broken jewelry and paper collage respectively. If beauty will save the world, as Dostoyevsky says, then we are doing our part.
