The year was 1965—the message eternal! Take part in an intimate conversation with Catherine Doherty—in her cabin on the Madawaska river in Combermere—where she speaks to a group of men and women preparing to commit their lives to the service of the gospel in poverty, chastity, and obedience. Whatever your vocation, you will find encouragement and joy in listening.
Divided into four sections, this makes an excellent addition to a two- or four-day spiritual retreat—for a group, or the privacy of your home.
This audio retreat with Catherine Doherty is hosted by Father Émile Brière, a close friend of Catherine and a member of the Madonna House Apostolate she founded.
Catherine Doherty used her heritage as a Russian Christian as a matrix for responding to the needs of Christian life and work in the modern world. Her own personal pilgrimage led her to be “poor with the poor Christ” in the slums of Toronto and in Harlem; and later to the establishing of the world-wide Madonna House Apostolate. A dedicated wife and mother, Catherine was also a prolific writer of hundreds of articles, a best-selling author of dozens of books, a renowned national speaker, and a pioneer of social justice. Catherine Doherty's cause for canonization as a saint is now under consideration by the Catholic Church.
